fundraiser!
Hello everyone,
For a while now, dbmfwatch has sent out two things: paid daily fund updates (thank you!) and a free weekly one for the TACK ETF (150+ of you — also thank you). Both run on automation, but "automated" doesn't mean free — hosting, database, Mailgun for email delivery, and the occasional maintenance all cost something, whether 10 people are reading or 1,000.
The paid tier pays for itself. The free update doesn't, but we'd been hoping it would nudge a few people toward the paid version over time. It hasn't really worked out that way, and that's okay — but it does mean the free update needs a different kind of support to keep going.
Here's the idea: we've started a Ko-fi with a goal of $250, which covers roughly a year of hosting, database, and email costs. Suggested tip is $10 (so about 25 of you would get us there), but truly, any amount helps, whether you're a paid subscriber or not.
If we don't hit the goal, we'll probably have to retire the free updates. If we do hit it, everything keeps running as-is for another year.
If a one-time tip isn't your thing but you'd like to help in a more ongoing way, subscribing to the paid daily update does the same job — a handful of new subscribers closes the same gap. Whatever route works for you, we appreciate it either way.
Thank you!
